A BRIEF HISTORY OF

Goa

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on Goa's tourism industry, with travel restrictions and lockdowns affecting businesses and livelihoods dependent on tourism. The state government implemented measures to mitigate the economic impact and support affected communities.

Goa faced challenges related to the impact of tourism on its environment and infrastructure, leading to debates about sustainable tourism practices and responsible development.

The state government launched the "Make in Goa" initiative to promote manufacturing and entrepreneurship, aiming to boost job creation and economic growth.
